GenKI4Media User Workshop
Hands-on insights into generative AI for multimodal content processing.
On April 22, 2026, the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems FOKUS will host the GenKI4Media User Workshop in Berlin. As part of the GenKI4Media project, the workshop introduces AI assistants designed to support the generation, analysis, and processing of multimodal media content, particularly in media, culture, and creative industries, as well as beyond.
The workshop highlights advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs), enhanced through plugins for knowledge organization and transparency. Participants are invited to contribute their own real-world use cases, enabling a practical exchange across sectors such as healthcare, industry, chemistry, and insurance. The goal is to collaboratively explore and refine applications of generative AI in real operational contexts.
The program includes project presentations, use case sessions, and an interactive world café addressing topics such as sovereignty, compliance, and acceptance. It is designed for organizations and professionals looking to move from understanding generative AI to actively applying it.
