What do artificial intelligence, quantum technology and solar boats have in common? While artificial intelligence and quantum technology are currently still rather energy guzzlers, the autonomous ferry that has just been introduced locally can already travel sustainably using renewable energy. Nevertheless, autonomous driving is not feasible without AI. In turn, AI is inconceivable in the future without new hardware for energy-efficient training with many times the amount of data we have today. Quantum technology can be one way to achieve this.
